Energy vs Climate: How climate is changing our energy systems

Sara & Ed - Help Us Reach Our Annual Listener Fundraising Goal

Energy vs Climate | Produced by Amit Tandon & Bespoke Podcasts Season 7

For us, delivering content about energy and climate is a labour of love – we put our time towards Energy vs Climate because we feel strongly about the public service benefit of the project.

But there are costs for our producer, website, Ed’s manicures, and more. (OK one of those isn’t true.) That's why this show relies on the support of generous donors, like our listeners.

Please consider making a one-time or monthly donation to our annual donation campaign.

Your generosity directly pays for our production hard costs, and not Ed’s manicures. Further, as a project of the Academy for Sustainable Innovation (Charitable Business Registration Number 789760675R R0001), Energy vs Climate provides a charitable tax receipt for all donations over $10.

Many thanks and be well,

David, Sara, and Ed

Ed Whittingham: Hey, Sara. It's the time of the year when we rattle our little tin cup to try to support our favourite podcast project, Energy vs Climate.

Sara Hastings-Simon: I know it's everybody's favorite episode, right? The Asking for Donations episode.

Ed Whittingham: They, they love it. Download numbers spike through the roof for this episode in particular.

And the best part is it's a hundred percent David Keith free.

Sara Hastings-Simon: We should, we should get people to give us extra donations to keep it that way, as long as David's not gonna hear this. Right. We're, we're gonna, we're gonna edit this part out.

Ed Whittingham: He'll, he'll never hear this - yes - extra money to keep it a hundred percent David Keith free.

But in all seriousness, Sara. There are hard costs to doing a show like Energy versus Climate and maintaining the quality that our listeners have come to expect. Everything from production to hosting and the show just wouldn't be possible without the support of you, our beloved listeners.

Sara Hastings-Simon: I hope that people will consider a monthly or even a one time donation.

I don't have a tote bag to offer. Maybe we should get on that for the future. I keep saying we should make stickers, you know? One day we should do that. But like Ed said, we love making EvC. It's really fun. Over the past year, I've missed it so much. It's made me realize how much I really love to be on here with you guys and recording and, and having these discussions. Um and so we really do appreciate your support that helps make this possible.

Ed Whittingham: Yes. Here, here and, uh, Sara, it is so wonderful to have you back. And what we really should have done is celebrated your grand triumphant return with a branded EvC tote bag.

Sara Hastings-Simon: There you go. Well, I'll say it's not too late. Thanks.

Ed Whittingham: To those of you who have supported us, please, everything you have to offer, uh, helps us to keep the lights on and production going.

Visit energyvsclimate.com to make a donation or just respond to the email that's gonna wind up in your inbox or already has, and keep on listening.

Sara Hastings-Simon: That's right, Ed and David, and I really appreciate your support.
